Thunderbird School of Global Management offers STEM-certified business degrees that integrate technology, data analytics, and management. These programs provide students with the technical skills required to lead in the digital economy, blending business acumen with cutting-edge STEM knowledge. Graduating from a STEM-focused program also extends your Optional Practical Training (OPT) eligibility to three years, allowing you to gain valuable work experience in the U.S. after graduation.

Thunderbird’s STEM-certified degrees include the Bachelor of Science in International Trade, Online Bachelor of Science in International Trade, as well as Master of Global Management (MGM) degree concentrations in Data Science, Global Business, and Global Digital Transformation.

STEM OPT Extension

The 24-Month STEM OPT Extension is a benefit from United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that allows international students in F-1 status who receive a degree in an approved STEM field to apply for a 24-month extension of their standard 12-month Post-OPT period, twice in a lifetime. This allows international students the opportunity to gain additional off-campus work experience in their field of study after completion of course studies and Post-OPT.
